Agree, but I'm sure the police will be looking at it.

Some quotes from the news conference:

Sadly, "at least 14 dead."

"We do not know if this was an act of terrorism. At a minimum, this is an act of domestic terrorism."

"These people came prepared. They came prepared to do what they did as if they were on a mission. They came in with a purpose."

They are using "shooters" not "shooter." Suspects no longer on the scene. Asking public to call in if they have any relevant information.

As usual (and rightly so), words are being chosen very carefully.

They just don't know much yet - which makes sense.

My wife and brother both work in SB. My brother's place is still on lock down. My wife was at a restaurant with coworkers at BJ's just minutes after the shooting. It's about 5 mins away and all they saw was a stream of police cars racing to the scene. Her building was evacuated as a precaution since there are several governmental agencies inside. She also said one of her coworker's wife works at the building and was shot. Not sure if she is one of the deceased.

Sorry to hear this, JTVA. Glad your wife and brother are OK. I am sure you'll be giving her a big hug when you see her.

Home grown/domestic terrorists strike again. When will we address mental illness or take it serious in this country. Every politician tells us to pray but how about some action, any formal of action would be better than political rhetoric from both the Dems and the GOP.

UK, 3 working together takes coordination, timing etc. That is not mental illness. That is a coordinated effort which, so far, has worked.

I do not understand why that city though. I would have thought San Francisco, San Diego any large metro tourist area.

This appears to be some sort of terrorist hit given its execution. Why would a soft target, such as the Inland Regional Center, be attacked? The Regional Center is part of a network of nonprofit private corporations up and down the state that contract with the Department of Developmental Services to provide or coordinate services and supports for individuals with developmental disabilities. My prayers go out to the victims and their love ones.

They could be from LA or SD. There are criminals who don't believe in "messing up" where they live.
