What is your favorite city/town/community in the Coachella Valley, in your opinion, and why? (Note: You can vote for many options as you want.)

I'll start with my own favorites:

1. Indio
2. Coachella
3. Thermal

I choose these three, simply because they're in the east valley, thus more fertile and agricultural, and also bear a predominantly Hispanic population. As well, most (at least more than half) of my childhood was spent in Indio (born and raised). Great memories!

I am looking to move there, so would be very interested in why folks favored some areas over another...

If I were you, for starters, I would first look into La Quinta or Palm Desert. Sorry if it doesn't sound much of help.

Question #1: Do you like heat? The CV is a very hot place in the summers. And by "summer," I mean May-Sept. At least.

Nah... More like late-April through mid-October!

Default If you can't stand the heat...

I'm in Sacramento currently, which gets pretty hot, though not as hot as CV...
If I can find more sunshine, then I will withstand the heat. When we are not in a drought, the winters here are gloomy, dark and long. When I check my weather app, it seems to almost always be sunny there...
Is this the case?

Thank you for the responses in regard to location. Palm Desert looks very nice and I will check out La Quinta as well.

CV winters are amazing. It's the other half of the year that you have to be willing to deal with.

You can't say that unless you work outside for many years (like I used to).
