Hi,

I live out of state but am trying to sell my Apple Valley house which was built in 1989. I've been in touch with a few realtors and contractors, some of whom say that I'm required to replace the original single pane windows with double pane. Others say it's a good idea and will increase the value of the house but not a requirement. Does anyone know which is correct or where I could find this information?

Thanks.

Of course they would say that, they want to make a few $$$ off of you.

In any area, it's best to consult the city government as they will tell what the laws really are.

I don't belive you have to change them, I searched the MLS and saw many older homes selling with original windows.
