I am trying to rent an apartment in 92123, specifically

2420 Cardinal Dr, San Diego, CA 92123, USA - Google Maps

I think it falls in Serra Mesa. Is it a safe area?

Thanks

Default Peaceful, no...convenient, yes.

Birdland sits between 2 freeways and near 2 hospitals. Older, more modest area, but close in to Mission Valley shopping/restaurants and not too far from UTC area as well.

By peaceful, I had meant is it safe? Sorry for the confusion.

Birdland is a safe area. Linda Vista (next mesa to the west) is where the trouble is. There are some shabby blocks (esp on the main roads) and some nicer ones on the sidestreets. Great area overall and a good value. Plus better schools compared to similarly priced areas.
