I know a couple who live on the 26th floor of Bayside, which is also along the trolley line and they don't complain much about the noise. Demographic-wise, don't be surprised if you are one of the youngest of the building, since most residents are probably in their 40's and higher.

You should hook up with Mrmanz from this site, who is about your age, and also lives in an upscale highrise nearby.

I will have my car with me but I don't see much of a need for it during the week. And lastly, what is your opinion on the Electra building? Will it be super noisy from the trains?

Thank you!
Well, I can speak from experience. If you move to one of the nice areas of downtown it can really be great. There is a lot to do and plenty of people to meet. Plus, you are close to lots of clubs if that is your sort of thing.

The west side of downtown is really nice, that area may be a little noisy, depending on which floor you are on, maybe get used to wearing ear plugs, that is what I do.

The east side of San Diego is not as nice as the West, plenty of Vagrants camped out, drinkin and druggin.

sdurbanite,

LOL @ sdlife619 comment.

Call the Citizen action groups! The Italians are being forced out of Little Italy by gentrifying Italian Americans posing as Jersey Shore cast members.
