As mentioned by another person there is only a small population of African Americans in San Diego but you are definitely not alone. It's hard to date as a male in the San Diego area because males outnumber females thanks to the military presence. Women get a lot of men to choose from. It's literally "Man Diego." Try to join local meet ups that can be found on sites like meetup.com and try free dating sites like POF and OKC.

I have single friends in a few different races, and they have talked about how hard it is to find nice guys to date (they didn't relate it to a race issue). Seems the dating scene is tough here all around.

can tell you what I see in LA and in OC. I am seeing quite a few white male/black female couples these days; it's quite noticeable at the Irvine Spectrum. The black women seem very classy and nice, well educated. These couples look like they are going places.
