Everyone freely walking around the streets of downtown looks like they're having fun casually people watching, the obsessed nerds waiting in long lines to enter the convention center look stressed, tired and not so happy.

Downtown during Comic Con is a BLAST, never had I had the desire to actually go inside the convention centre.

Last year, the obsessed nerds camped out for a week in back of Exhibit Hall H. Canopies were set up for them, and everyone took turns holding their places while they had to use the restroom or buy food. I'm sure it won't be any different this year, either.

Inside the convention center, it's wall to wall people. It's hot, you can't move, and everyone gets mad at you when you ask them to wear their badge. Last year, one guy shook his fist in my face, and said, "this is my badge."

No, they already had passes they were camping out to be the first to get into that particular panel to get a good seat.

Sadly, last year was it for me. The Crowds to see these panels is just to damn much. My Kids are Going but i will probably go down on Saturday and walk around, that's free and even funner imo.

I admire the bravery of everyone who's still been going these past few years. My last was in 2007 (my first was in 1990). I just couldn't handle the crowds anymore.

I only go because I get paid to work there. Otherwise, I'd stay away from that mess.

You can do the "free" Comic Con. That consists of watching everyone in costume from outside the convention center, but you just can't attend any panels.
