If you see a Bobcat in your neighborhood, that means the City or the County is finally replacing you old cast iron water main.

When I lived in New Mexico, a bobcat --we named her Bobbie-- would come by our place a few times a month. Even brought her kittens over. We never bothered her, especially when the kids were around, and she never bothered us. This is a pic of them in our rear courtyard.
