I need to purchase casual wear. Jeans, shorts, tee.. U get the idea. Trendier the better. Where should I look? Hillcrest? Downtown? The only option in PB is urban outfitters and I am not impressed.

I wouldn't mind Macy's or something similar in downtown as long as I don't have to struggle to park..

Go to Fashion Valley Mall. You have lots of stores to choose from, and can park in the parking garage or outside in a parking lot.

It was a while ago, but back in the day I used to find a better selection of younger men's clothes in Mission Valley Mall than Fashion Valley Mall. However, FVM was far better for women's clothing.

Well, Walmart has a new line of Star Wars t-shirts. Who doesn't look cook with a Chewbacca t-shirt. But that may be a little casual. I guess if you're gonna go all fancy, nothing beats JC Penney or Sears.

There isnt much choice in SD but I'd recommend:

In La Jolla:
Ralph Lauren
Y-3

Around Downtown and the Park:
There used to be a G-Star in gas lamp
Ajax Shoppe in Little Italy
5& a Dime in East Village
Gym Standard in North Park
There's a place called Aloha Beach Club in NP which may have some men's stuff
Junc in SP may also have some stuff

Fashion Valley will be your best bet.
Ted Baker
Varvatos
RL Polo
Bloomingdales...etc

In the end online is your best bet.

ASOS for cheap stuff
Yoox, barneys, mr porter for better stuff

The other day I was at The Plaza in Del Mar having lunch. I wandered into probably one of the nicest mens clothing stores I have been into in San Diego. I think it is called Gary's ? Very expensive but very nice merchandise.
