Here is the new housing move 2500-6000 rent per month. So much for affordable housing anywhere near the beach.

Anyone seen the MV master plan? More of the same.

Affordable housing near the beach has been extinct for decades already.

But but but....it's not fair.

Cashiers, cooks, and baristas like the beach too you know. Everyone should have a right to live there. Not just the lucky few privileged.

Every one has the right to try to live at the beach. Being a beach resident takes money.

I don't agree that these apartments are even "on the beach." Near a freeway in a coastal neighborhood.

Definitely crazy prices, I remember paying $440/mo. for a large studio- separate kitchen/dining- with a nice shared courtyard on Bayard St. in PB just up from Tourmaline Surf Park in ‘86. Yeah, yeah, that was then but adjusted for inflation that is only $1091 so a big difference to what they are charging today.

I feel for the renters in this city, well, for just about anyone who is working/middle class that didn’t get a chance to jump into the RE market 20+ years ago when things here were just a bit above average for the country as opposed to several 100 percentage points higher that they are now.

Not even close to the beach, at least being able to easily walk to it, squished between the freeway and Mission Bay Dr., the old Cadillac dealership. Pretty subpar location if you ask me. Other than Rubios and Sushi Ota what do you got?
