To Our Fellow Citizens:

We are former public servants who have devoted our careers, and in many cases risked our lives, for the United States. We are generals, admirals, senior noncommissioned officers, ambassadors, and senior civilian national security leaders. We are Republicans, Democrats, and Independents. We love our country.

The shallowness of character and intellect of some of you is as sad as the faux-“leader” you support with your ridicule of those of us who care about integrity and competence.

What does this have to do with San Diego?

Everything.

It has to do with every cubic inch of America ... especially every cubic inch where patriots are buried. Have you all driven by, yet alone stopped to walk through, the sea of 101,079 markers at the Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery on your way to the Cabrillo Monument? Here’s the address:
1700 Cabrillo Memorial Dr, San Diego, CA 92106

Drop by for a bit of reflection on the 101,079 your “leader” calls “losers and suckers.”

TDS my ass.
TDS is blaming Trump (who I have no love for) for everything wrong. It’s simply not true.

And while you’re walking around Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, you might want to pull out your phone and google a video where Biden calls the military “stupid bastards” because they didn’t applaud at one of his remarks.

Let’s not pretend Biden is so much greater than Trump. He’s not.

Sources are CDC-HHS, Johns Hopkins, NYT with about 1000 deaths per day - weekend reporting lags lower but then pops up midweek so averages 1000. Yesterday, 864 deaths for just that single day. Total is currently like 204,000 and trending toward 0.25M by year's end mid-winter.

New strain may show distancing and masking doesn't cut it.

D614G has been identified for many months and shown to be more infectious than the original sequence though it does not make one sicker if you get it. (I think the many vaccine programs are not dependent on this sequence but not sure). Another study has shown that the amount of initial infecting dose one gets correlates with degree of sickness - that is where masks and eyeglasses could help reduce severity of illness. Science evolves with more learning and data obtained (in contrast to the Qanon cult nuts). No public health changes based on this single study and also masks/distancing could reduce severity of illness and likely to still reduce getting initially infected even if the strains are getting better to infect (natural darwinian selection for those who don't believe the earth is only 5,000 years old with dinosaurs and humans co-habiting etc)
