I live about 3 air miles from the end of the runway @ Miramar MCAS. We've never heard Midnite fighter pilot training before tonite. Anyone know what's going on?

Personally, I like the noise. I'm ex-Air Force. But my neighbors are bugging the he$$ out of me with questions on Facebook. Like I'm supposed to know what Maverick is doing over our houses.

This is probably more of a Nextdoor.com question. I'll check there too.

Nextdoor is lit up with whiners, counters of 'sound of freedom', and no explanations.

Multiple threads make it harder to follow any meaningful information (cuz people are too stupid to post in an existing thread).

In my long time in the neighborhood - there have been late night engine run ups (testing/maintenance) and some late night fleet exercises. It's not common, but it has happened in the past.

The F-35 is louder, to me, on takeoffs and outbound flight paths.

"Someone" would need to actually reach out and contact Miramar MCAS to find out the real deal. It doesn't bother me, so I'm not inclined to find out. Oh well.

Yeah, the people on Nextdoor really do like to whine. It also amazes me as to how many of them don't know how to do search for the answer to their question. They think they're entitled.

You're right. Nextdoor is filled with nothing but complainers and freedom lovers but not many facts.

I did find this at the University City News website:

Last night about 10pm a C-130 flew over our house which is fairly unusual. Must be some sort of exercise.

Did the C-130 look like this? It's jet-assisted. It's a one-of-a-kind plane used by the Blue Angels.

C-130s are pretty common coming out of Miramar.

I see them on a regular basis but during the day.

Agree but much of your tax dollars are being squirreled in trump's pocket for his personal enrichment violating the Emoluments and Establishment clause of the US Constitution, if that still counts which it does if you are a patriot like me. Some folks are fine with giving away their money like this to own the libs etc. I'm an angry tax payer in this respect.
