Hope you get well soon Cruitr.
Walking pneumonia typical impact young adults and is mild, I believe.
I hear the Gov is going to restore my freedom by ending the mask mandates. Fantastic pro liberty Gov, am I rite.
I suggest masking up in crowded environments like public transportation or popular stores.

All those Americans who have " HONOR " and are vaccinated will not be required to mask indoors. I wonder if those WITHOUT HONOR will abide by the rules ?

Glad you're recovering Cruitr.

I've always had this gut (lung?) feeling that when I go, it's pneumonia that's going to take me.

Officially, I'm too young for the pneumonia vaccine, but I've been suggesting to my doctor that I get it anyway.

This past year he relented and gave me the shot.

I believe its indicated at age 65 and perhaps earlier if underlying condition

My dad developed pneumonia from a cold. I walked in his bedroom and thought he was dead. He was rushed to Hoag ER and then hospitalized for 4 days. He also had sepsis. After he was in a rehab hospital for 2 weeks. To say he was a difficult patient is a understatement. 3 months later he passed away. He never fully recovered and his body spiraled down from the pneumonia. After I read that 60% of elderly that get pneumonia pass away within 4 months of diagnosis. My dad was 91 and lived a good long life. He also had the pneumonia vax

I had pneumonia about two years ago, middle of the summer. I have no idea how I got it. But I felt horrible, so bad, that despite having an aversion to doctors, I had my husband take me to emergency. Good thing, my oxygen was way down. they put me on oxygen and kept me there overnight. I was released next morning. But it took weeks to feel normal again. I was about 70 too when that happened. And I had had my pneumonia vaccine.
