I got soaked coming home from work. I have a 10 walk when I get off the bus, and it was raining so hard, that using an umbrella was impossible.

There was still a bit of the hail in the most shadowy part of the deck this morning - took me back to my Chicagoland days. It seems like San Diego (or at least Point Loma) gets some hail every year, but this is the first time it didn't quickly melt.

Batten down the hatches. Winter storm coming and the snow levels might lower to 2000ft which means Iron Mt, Mt. Woodson and San Miguel Mt. could all get a light dusting. Over a foot at Laguna and Palomar! Bring it on.

Love seeing snow-covered mountains after a good winter storm. Will try to get some pics from the office.

The best one I've seen was that one from a boat outside San Diego Bay harbor with the Lagunas in the background.

It amazes me that it's still apparently the driest February on record or something.
Seems like we've had a fair number of wet days already. The cold just saps my energy, so not a fan. And it's always even worse once the rain blows out and we get those crystal clear freezing nights where it never warms up the next day.
