Hello, I'm looking for a safe area which has affordable apartments units for students near Mission Valley. Where would you recommend? Thanks.

affordable homes and safe areas don't go together in san diego.....it's like an oxymoron...that's how crazy the san diego market is!

I think hes looking to temporarily rent. Ive seen some as cheap as $1000 but im betting the good ones in safe areas are going to be $1500 and up. To buy he would be looking at $300k and up for a nice one bedroom in a nice location.

You could look east and things get cheaper. Mira Mesa is a nice area that's affordable. La Mesa would be another.
