Yeah, he told me there were very few booths but he got an interview with one of the staffing companies that were there. He may receive an offer from that interview still, but would most likely turn it down due to the fact that he would have to work as a contractor for quite a while which means no benefits or paid time off. Of course he would have taken it if he didn't get another offer.

Wow, I'm very glad to hear that he got a job. I moved from Boston in late July and it took me until early this month to actually get a job. I was actively looking every day as well, applying to many jobs a day on 5 different job sites (SD jobing, monster, careerbuilder, hotjobs, signonsandiego.com) and I wasn't getting anything. I came out here without a job lined up, I assumed it would be easy. I got a permanent position through a staffing agency but I got real lucky. Good luck to those who moved out here without a job lined up, it's not impossible!
