Drinking on all beaches in San Diego is not allowed anymore, it's been banned.

Just drinking on all beaches, once the City of SD did it pretty much everyone else followed. Some beaches I think you can drink when its not summer, none in the City of SD though, but i'm not 100% on that.

I don't think any of them allow drinking anymore.

Well its a shame, But i guess it only takes a few morons to get something taken away. Can you still have bonfires? Apparently my cus found a way around the hole no drinking on the beach...if you have a van large enough you can get it licensed for an RV and a Limo at the same time and drink all you want in it, just don't drive.

If you like the Bro types with flat bill hats then you will love PB. If you want a more mellow vibe then OB is the place to be. I have lived in OB all of my life, it is a mellow place with lots of old hippies. The locals are friendly, and people still say hi to one another. There is a party scene, but nothing to crazy. It stays at the bars for the most part. There was a lot of crime and drugs in the 80's but it isn't like that at all anymore. It cost WAY to much to live here for the drugies. There are a lot of pot heads but they cause no trouble at all. There are also tons of great places to eat and a organic co-op that is the best in CA. Feel free to ask me if you have any questions.

Drinking is banned on every beach in San Diego. It all came from a crazy fight on the beach in Mission. You can still drink if you keep it on the down low lol.

OB and PB both party. It comes do to associations and the types of people you prefer.

PB = Frats, college (kegs and eggs/beer pong types), military and bros

OB = Surfers, bikers (harley types), hippies
