I'm a winter and spring guy myself, too. Haven't been a fan of September or October of late. Guess I'm used to the haze and smog to a degree; I can't just dismiss summertime because of that, although it'd be nice to see San Gorgonio and Baldy this time of year.

When I first moved here (a long time ago) I didn't miss the change of seasons at all, but now I do, especially the fall. I grew up where there is real fall foliage so it's never the same anywhere else. I do go back each year (or try to) so I can get my fix. But I like having actual "weather"...I would call San Diego a non-weather place. I am more of a cool/colder weather person...it invigorates me and I like the clothes better, etc.
The holidays aren't the same because we never really get that cool, crisp air for Halloween or Thanksgiving or Christmas. Pumpkins and palm trees never really fit the picture for me. I guess because I grew up with a change of season I kind of have that inner "timing" in me where I wait for it to come, but it doesn't.

Fall would be the one I'd miss most too, but as for Christmas, I look back over the time I spent in warmer climates during Christmas, including last year in SD, and I can honestly say it doesn't affect me. In fact, some of my favorite holiday moments took place when there was no snow on the ground whatsoever. Perhaps because I actually got to get out of the house without freezing my tail off! I like the idea of making a day trip to the mountains for a rush of snow, but then am happy to go back a more tolerable climate.

By the way, I was really impressed with the holiday events in SD. The warmth does not stifle a festive spirit in any way!!

One year before kids, my wife and I spent a cloudless Christmas Day at Torrey Pines before afternoon family obligations. Great memory and no snow on the ground. Didn't we have some Christmas Day rain a year or two ago?

Where I used to live (in FL) we didn't have much in the way of seasons either. However, I do miss the violent thunderstorms/lightning, oddly enough.

I love 30-40 degree weather, when it's cool and sunny, with crisp air. I just hate the idea of snow, and having to drive in it...

I didnt miss the seasons changing when we lived in Florida or when we lived in Chula Vista/San Diego. Since moving back to the DC area and having to go through the mess of dealing with freezing weather and Ice/Snow storms. I have to say that I'll take the "boring" Sunshine anyday !!!

I haven't lived somewhere with four really distinct seasons in more than 50 years but I still have fond memories of fall color, crunching through fallen leaves on the ground, the crisp feel to the air, the smell of burning leaves (I don't think that is done anywhere anymore) and then spring, watching for that first crocus, seeing the green come back. I remember the fun and beauty of snow as well. I never lived in the snow as an adult so I did not have to pay to heat the house, drive on icy roads or shovel snow. I just got to play in it and enjoy it's beauty. I have those fond memories but am content to live in a more moderate climate.
