Any advice/recommendation of campsites for Yosemite in november with a baby?
We are hoping to spend about 3 nights in yosemite with our 10 month baby camping but I just wondered if anyone can recommend an area or a nicecampsite they know of?

I need to check the temperatures but I imagine it will be pretty cool at night and maybe during the day too?

ANy tips for babyfriendly cafes/ campsites( having showers is baby friendly to me)/ short hikes/nice spots would be welcomed.

Thanks in advance

My family really enjoyed this place...Yosemite Bug - Rustic Mountain Resort - Cabins, Restaurant, Health Spa, Hostel

The cafe/restaurant/lodge was wonderful (excellent food and tons of board games) and it we just did day trips into Yosemite (15 minute drive). It was really laid back with both young hippie backpackers and families as well. I had two little ones at the time and we went during winter so the weather didn't beat us up too much.

Highly recommend if this is your first trip to stay in Yosemite itself rather than outside. It is at least a 30 minute drive into the park from the outside sites, whereas if you stay at Curry Village or Yosemite Lodge you open your door and you are in the middle of it all, no driving necessary. Curry Village is more like the camping setup, you are in a tent cabin but need to walk to toilets, showers. The Lodge is more like a motel with your own private bath which helps when you have a baby. Either way it will be amazingly beautiful and yes, cold. There may even be snow. But the scenery is breathtaking and you will have fewer crowds to deal with. Have fun!

You might be more comfortable staying in a motel rather than camping, especially with a baby. At 4000 feet in elevation, Yosemite Valley can be cold in November, especially at night. Yosemite Lodge at the Falls is inside the park and there are rooms available outside the park in El Portal. Yosemite is very family friendly. The Yosemite National Park website can provide you with information to help you with your visit.

Best recommendation: Lock Up Your Food! Bears will mess with anything they can get to in the camping areas.

That, and check out the falls area on your way up to Half Dome, if you and the young'n are so inclined.

I strongly recommend staying in one of the tent cabins in Curry village. Its very convenient and less hassle than tent camping. You get everything in Curry Village and don't have to carry much food and stuff. These tents are so convenient that you would be fine with a baby.

I'd actually go a bit further and say get one of the cabins at Curry Village (not a tent cabin, but a log cabin). It has heating, which the tent cabins do not - they only have canvas walls. We've already gotten some snowfall at the highest elevations in Tahoe, so I think we're in for a cold autumn in the mountains.
