I just got marry 1 year ago and move to Peninsula (Bay Area), because my husband is from there but we are thinking about to move around Alamo-Danville, and I would like people help me telling me how is around there.
I love Blackhawk, the golf court is beautiful, and people around there look like they are nice.
what do you guys think about Blackhawk??? , is it nice to rase kids around there???

Thank you very much for your help

It's beautiful there! It's very safe and it's a great place to raise a family, in my opinion. You just have to have the finances to do so. It's extremely expensive.

We're actually looking to move to the Pleasanton-Dublin-San Ramon-Danville-Blackhawk area as well, but we're having a terrible time finding an affordable rental that is clean enough and big enough for the three of us. Anything we've found under $2300 a month is very small, typically old, and not in very good shape.

I am really looking forward to reading the responses to this because we're looking for advice and input on these areas as well.

Good luck to you!

Excellent schools, very safe, very quiet, very idealized suburbia. Rich but not pretentious or gaudy. At least that's my experience.

But its also very expensive. So if you can swing the cost and you like it, then I say its worth it.

Hello Eloisa!

Alamo, Danville and Blackhawk are all very nice communities, and each more different from the other than you might expect.

Girl Looking to Move is right - rentals are few and far between, but that is true everywhere. Besides the usual population of folks renting instead of owning for a myriad of personal reasons, everyone who had a foreclosure or a short sale or lost their job is trying to rent and there aren't enough rentals to go around.

It is an ideal time to buy, however. The area lost, on average, about 30% of its value over the past few years and prices are trending back up by about 16% so we have clear price trend data. Also, the interest rates are at an all time low.

I also agree with adding Pleasanton, Dublin and San Ramon to your list as Looking to Move suggested, as well as Walnut Creek.
