I've actually spoke to Shirley Phelps from Westboro Baptist when they were protesting at a soldiers funeral in Arkansas. She is the lead nut of the crew.

As well as being highly nutty; she is a highly intelligent free speech attorney.

They are in your face fire and brimstone puritans, but are friendly enough if you know what you are dealing with and have a sense of humor.

Her father is/was a civil rights attorney also. Many of the family are lawyers. They know the law inside and out and yes they are nuts.

I think he was saying their brand of "Democrat" is not a democrat in the conventional sense, if they consider our democratic president to be the anti-Christ.

Unlike like the trolls on this forum, they are trolls with a plan, a media platform, and legal expertise, and therefore harder to ignore. I wish the media would, all the same.
