How many people work at Twitter in SF? Like a few hundred? Maybe 1,000? Why the **** do they get their own damn bus line, especially when they're getting a free corporate bus anyway? And especially when they blackmailed the city into giving them a tax break that any other SF residents and companies don't get? Why the **** does everyone in the Bay Area bend over so much for tech companies?

Because they likely bring $ in terms of revenue to the City of SF.

It is a logical expansion of service. Too bad the developers didn't talk to the city first, as the private shuttle mirrors this bus route.

An express route from Caltrain to midmarket is likely overdue.

So Muni set up an express bus line specifically for several employers in the Mid-Market area and never bothered to even reach out to them? Muni is a complete joke. I don't see why anyone would want to PAY to take a crappy, old Muni bus over a free private shuttle.

No, MUNI setup an express bus specifically for an area it is trying to revitalize that happens to be where Twitter is located... and by happens, I mean where Twitter negotiated their tax cut with the city so they ended up in the area the city was trying to revitalize.

Why would you plan a bus line before there was any demand?

If you're targeting an area for development, then you put the infrastructure in over time. Compared to the alternatives the city would have, an express bus line is not a particularly large investment and it will gain value over time.

It seems like a reasonable route to add. It's a pain to get to/from Caltrain.
