Driving from essentially the Berkeley area to the Half Moon Bay area tomorrow morning. Hoping to leave first thing in the morning, but I have NO CLUE what traffic will be like. If I left at 7am am I asking for huge traffic trouble? Will the San Mateo Bridge be a problem?

depends

if there's a wreck, it can be bad all morning. I'd leave earlier to avoid it, but that's just me. I don't think it will be clear until at least after 9:30

I'd skip San Mateo bridge and take Bay Bridge, 280 & 92 to get to Half Moon Bay.

Well then you definitely need to be on the Bay Bridge with a Fastrak before 6:15 am

I do the the drive from Oakland to SE SF several times a week, and if I'm not in the Fastrak lane on the right side of 80 before then, it'll take an hour instead of 30 mins

If it's just a normal commute, 9 will be a lot better than 7.
