Not so much in the City, though. I have friends in El Cerrito and they hella say it all the time. My wife teaches high school near Berkeley and her kids are big on hella/hecka too.

"San Fran" sounds weird to bay area people because we dont say "saan fraancisco"

it is more like San Frincisco

The A isnt pronounced

I actually hear and say "Sanfernsisco," said quickly as one word. Strangely enough, my autocorrect even spelled it out that way when I typed in the first couple of letters.
