I am a young professional..25, Ivy league educated, I do like hanging out with other Ivy Leaguers or "intellectual" types working in Banking/Consulting/etc ... it's not an elitist thing but they are a bit easier to make a connection with because of similar backgrounds. (does that make sense??)

I've heard the Marina is a good place but frankly I'm not a douche bag, frat boy and I am not into dumb sorority girls. I am looking to meet attractive, high educated and well put together girls that might also be working professionals. (I'm a serious hard working guy)

Where do young professional college grads from ivy league or stanford live within the city?

I am so sorry that I only went to the public school UC-Berkeley and will never be as elite as you are.

I will bow down before your awesome powers and unparalleled intellect.

Nobody in the Bay Area cares if you went to an Ivy League school or not. You could always try New England where people will be more impressed with your massive accomplishments

Why the disdain here? I don't have a chip on my shoulder because of my ivy league degree. It's just that's the experience/community I've had for the past 6 years and I feel comfortable with. None of us think we are better or lead more fulfilling lives than anybody else. Would it be any different if I said I was an artist and wanted to hang out with artsy people???

Thank you I will check out Russian Hill. Do you have any thoughts on Cow Hollow?

Hehehehe. Did you type that with a straight face? That's one of the best one-liners I've read on Citi-Data to date.

I think the issue is that you felt you needed to make it so painfully obvious. Also, this city has a very high population of very educated and successful people, so please don't act as if your background is so special that you feel the need to separate yourself from the lesser educated masses.
Sorry...

Sorry but bragging you are an Ivy leaguer and calling people in the Marina douche bags, dumb sorority girls, and frat boys reeks of someone who thinks they are very elite and better than everyone else. I have to assume that none of the classes at those ivy league schools had anything to do with Dale Carnegie's book "How To Win Friends and Influence People "

Hmmmm...

On second thought you'd probably fit right in.

Or more nicely: Dude, everyone in this town has an advanced degree from Cal, MIT, Harvard, Stanford, yadda yadda yadda. Oh, wait, you do have an advanced degree, right?

"None of us thinks...", btw, OP. (Subject of sentence = "none", a singular noun.)

If you're into people who are in banking and investing, go to lunch in the financial district, and rub elbows with those types. Or go to one of the watering holes there after work. Why aren't you meeting people like that through your own work, anyway? Are you unemployed, or employed outside your profession?

Join the Commonwealth Club, and attend the lectures that are relevant to your interests. Spend a day in Sausalito and go sailing, or hang out at the restaurant on the docks there. Create your own Meetup group with your fellow preppies. Check out local Rotary groups, and see if there are any with a young demographic. I'm sure you can come up with your own ideas.
