Maybe if you hang out in SoMa... don't see many of them in my part of town, and I actually didn't know the term until recently. Of course, I'm getting to be an out-of-touch old fogie, LOL.

Hipsters are so awful. I've always had the idea that SF doesn't have a lot of them, and just has laid back people who aren't super trendy in a hipsterish way.

Yes, but the good thing is that they are harmless. Your chances of getting mugged in a dark alley by a hipster are slim to none.

I agree though, the novelty of the whole hipster thing has worn off and it's pretty much mainstream. But we need someone to operate the espresso machines cause I'm sure as hell not gonna do it.

Hopefully it starts to die sooner than later. The people are so fake. It will truly be one of the worst cultural memes of the 2000 decade.

Are there plenty of non-hipsters?

ComfortablyNumb, want to start an anti-hipster organization?
I'm slightly concerned of the potential epidemic myself.

What is a "Hipster"? The Late 20-40 something yuppie that drives a 3 series BMW, eats sushi 3 times a week and rents Loft Style apartments? Thats all SF has become it seems.
