Hi Guys,
I will be moving to the Modesto area in January. I was wondering if you guys can give me some tips on the nicer areas to live in and a little info about the area...

Thanks!

You may want to post this in the general CA forum. Modesto is in the central valley, not the Bay Area...although some people in Modesto do commute to the Bay Area for jobs.

You also may want to include some more specific questions about what you're looking for if you want to receive good responses. Otherwise, many people won't bother to respond.

I've lived in modesto since 1996. The best area is Village One in my opinion. Do not move to the west side or south side. Stay away from the airport neughborhood as well, unless you want your home broken into assoon as you go to work the first day.

I have lived in Modesto for over 10 years now and live in the Village One area that Socratesofhealth mentioned. It's a nicer part of town and lots of families and good schools. Ask any other specific questions, happy to help.
