Summers are hot in Sacramento, but it's a dry heat and believe it or not,Sacramento is considered one of the more cooler cities in the Central Valley during the summer because of the Delta Breeze...Bakersfield and Fresno have much more excessive heat during the summer.

If there's a breeze in the summer, (which there usually is) fresno summer nights are amazing.

Fresno only feels oppressive when there's no breeze. 67 degree average lows in JULY ain't too shabby. Phx and Texas are a bit hotter at night than Fresno. Even new York city is slightly warmer at night during the summer!

That Delta breeze takes days off too, BTW. Its nice but not always reliable.

Edit. Fresno and sac aren't as hot as made out to be. If it felt oppressive, you just were unlucky and went at a bad time.

Decayed industrial areas, high crime, bad schools, bridge fees, and hemmed in by refineries in Benica, Rodeo and Martinez.

Sacramento and Fresno weather is hot AF during the summer. During the winter its cold AF. Sac folks love to argue the delta breeze and yea it helps. So instead of the weather being bad as in 10 being the worse, its a 9 when the rest of the valley stays a 10.

also there are plenty of summers when SJ also get mid high 90s as bad as sac/fresno area

lets not forget stockton tracy patterson, all as bad heat, ive seen these places sometimes get hotter than sac and fresno

in the end still better than Las Vegas and AZ and TX weather

Cold in Sacramento during the "winter"? I'm assuming you've never been somewhere with legitimate winters then

Sac gets right cold, even below freezing sometimes. Lows in the upper 20's happen from time to time.

The average temps during the "winter" are highs in 50's-60's and lows in the 40's. Yeah I'm sure it gets cold during the night at times, but compared to real winters, that's mild

Fresno had just a handful of 30 degree nights this winter. Most nights were in the upper 40s and 50s. I'm sure sac wasn't much different.
Winters seem to keep getting warmer in the CV with each year. I don't mind this trend.

Not where I live in Sacramento, high 30's is more like it and even that is fairly unusual

well yeah except that you basically need to cross a bridge to go anywhere in the actual bay area, and in some cases two bridges.
