It is interesting that if you look at the census map of Contra Costa County, Orinda's census tracks are overwhelming White. However, there is one majority Asian census track which seems to be the brand new development of luxury subdivisions of Wilder.

If you look at the map from the new census data that area is an anomaly from the rest of Orinda which is very White. I think it is because it is new construction but surprised that it is majority AAIP.

What does it matter? Those who can afford it and perhaps want to live in a bit less crowded area are apparently interested in moving there

Could it signify a major demographic transition?

A couple dozen people is hardly a major demographic shift.

The green (majority Asian) areas on the map in San Ramon are mostly new developments. Nearby Danville is very White and mostly older housing stock.
