would it be a better idea to go for the human resources certificate through SFSU than get a human resources masters from GGU?

i just don't want to go in debt if it isn't a good idea, i want to be smart about this.

I agree with the others.

A "Masters" looks better on a resume than a "certificate" regardless of the school.

even if it means going into serious debt?...though i tend to agree that i would be more inclined to hire a grad with a masters than a certificate holder

also, i had heard of GGU before coming to the west coast...

i figure it would probably be comparable to going to other regional schools that aren't really known outside of each of their prospective regions.

i figure since it would be my second degree, and my first was from Penn State, that having one school that is well known can't be bad, right?

I'm in a similar situation.

I have been debating between going for a certificate in accounting at a jc or a university extension, or going for Golden Gate University's masters in accounting degree.

Hard decision...but it really comes down to campus recruiting for me. Certificate programs don't have on campus recruitment, you are basically on your own.

From what I've researched, GGU has a very good masters in taxation program.

But their Law school doesn't have a good rep.

As for their other programs, I haven't heard much.
