Hi,

I'm planning on moving to San Francisco in a few months. I live in Chicago now, but took a job at UCSF medical center. I want to live in the city, but have no idea where to start looking. I'm a single girl, early thirties, and looking to live in a somewhat "trendy" area. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
L

Trendy
describes the entire northern third of The City. LOL

Will you be working at their Parnassas Campus or Mission Bay Campus? That makes a difference as far as commute is concerned.

But you could be close to both by living in Hayes Valley-an incredibly stylish and centrally located neighborhood.

What is your budget? If you can afford it I would go for the Marina district. That seems to be where the more financially stable 30 somethings tend to live.
