He's just stating statistical truth, not made up prejudiced rants. The truth hurts doesn't? If you find my thread offensive why don't you just move on to another one.

Or words like "Loco", "Varrio", etc.
THIS. The graffiti *isn't* your typical stoner white trash spraypainting the names / logos of their favorite punk or metal bands, or "so and so loves so and so", or that they were there, or whatever else.....

Can we at least be honest about who is doing the tagging / spraypainting?

It would be embarrassment as high tech place with high decadence.
That said, even the crummiest part of San Jose is a walk in the park compared to much of Oakland or SF.

San Jose grew *very* rapidly in the 1950's-1970's, and the airport placement was not well thought out.

There were proposals to put a replacement for SJC airport up by Alviso at the Bay's edge, like SFO and OAK airports are placed, with an extended Route 87 going to it along the Guadalupe River, but it was deemed environmentally verboten to fill in sacred swamps.

This is not downtown at all. That's part of the East Side and it's always been a crappy part of town. It doesn't even come close to representing what the rest of SJ looks like though.

"He's stating statistical truth" "If you find MY thread offensive..."

Which is it? Are you the OP, too?

Bring on the statistics that say that Mexicans are the cause for trash on the ground in San Jose.

Oh yes, and the comment about Mexicans driving sh***y cars was very informative regarding trash on the ground. Very useful...

I'd also enjoy seeing the statistics on how this comment was relative to garbage on the streets of San Jose.

Just was looking at this thread, I teach in the South area of San Diego, kids are all Hispanic, the ramps are all filthy. As I drive home North on the 15, it is clean where I live (white area). It is what it is - - -

You're not looking in the right place. Try a donut shop. Or a Starbucks.
