Problem:

People who move here and then complain about everything and try to change it to the place that they left.

The economy up here in the NE part (Raton in particular) seems to be the biggest problem., at least wherever I have lived. It's understandable that people are having trouble right now with everything, however when there are jobs available, the pay rate is so low, that most people can't 'afford' to go to work. I'm not talking about jobs in fast food, gas stations, etc., I mean management positions, administrative, healthcare, etc. It's difficult when the pay rate is $7.50 - $8.50/hr. They get more benefits, ie: food, housing assistance, medical, dental, etc. when they don't work. It is a sad state of affairs, but the employers just can't seem to pay more. So what does a person do? IMO, I feel that it's important to get out there and work, and do what you have to do to make a living instead of waiting for your handout at the end of the month.....it really frustrates me... as difficult as it all is, it's still worth it. Not everybody can make it work, but it would be great if the majority of people would at least try.
