Machine Shops in and around the area??? anybody know?

yeah I have done the thomasnet thing, but what I've found is a lot of shops on the list are now out of business or do not take in my type of work (small lot/prototyping) stuff... or they are very large machine shops that concentrate in production and already have big contracts that take up all of their time.

that's why I figured for what type of shops I'm looking for, it's better to get advice from word of mouth.

Just wanted to let you know about two more sources for your search, one is The Manufacturers Index which is available online and the Harris Directory which is updated much more frequently then most industry publications like Thomas. They also carry a price tag, but you know how the old saying goes about paying for what you get!
