Where do peeps from Palmetto who want to use private schools go? Is it a necessity to travel all the way to Sarasota? Would prefer non-denominational also....

Hmmm..not that I'm aware of. I found their website: Welcome to the Frontpage It's been a long time since I've gone there and I haven't really kept up with what's going on at the school. Like I said, I thought it was fine when I went there and my friend speaks positively about the school. She's currently working on her doctorate so I guess it worked all right for her.

Um yes stay away from Bradenton prep. I used to work there and they are seriously in trouble. Bribery, corruption, and fraud. They had to be bought out by a foreign investor. They currently owe me and the rest of the staff over 3 months salary from 2006.

There was Palmetto Christian but I'm not sure they are still around. Otherwise, there is Bradenton Christian, St Stephens in Bradenton. While the names seem denominational, from what I know they are very faith friendly and don't really favor one religion. It's just about teaching Good morals and values.

Wow! That's surprising. It was a great little school when I went there...but that was quite a long time ago. Like I said before, my friend had a positive experience as well. Things must have changed in the last 10-15 years.

The only one I'm aware of in Palmetto is Palmetto Christian, I believe it's affiliated with Church on the Rock.

We had a not so good experience there (mostly with other students), but that was 6 or 7 years ago so things may have changed since then. They also didn't have high school at the time, and had no real elective type classes (music / band / art etc.)

Again, this was almost 7 years ago, so things may have changed.

OK thanks all. Looks like choices are limited up there but will check out St Stephens.

Oobie - hope you get paid! That sucks.
