My hubby and my little one just back from walking the dogs and my little one comes running in screaming about the big cat in the back yard. I jumped up and grabbed my camera and the "cat" starts to slink away.

I chased him around the neighbors home and got a few shots as he was running. It was a pretty big bobcat.

DANG!

I'd be keeping my dogs *and* my little one inside if I were you.

We have them here, but they are brazen enough to go into populated areas. They keep to the woods and once in a while you *might* see one by the side of the road.

WOW

Last year when we stayed in Venice there was one walking around the canal that ran behind the homes. At first I thought my what a big cat, then soon realized that it was a Bob Cat! We had a few alligators in there too and it was fun watching them. At a FAR distance of course.

Nah, he was pretty scared of me. I actually had to chase him around the neighbors house twice to get these shots. My hubby was walking the dogs with my little one so they were fine.

Ya know, my neighbor was complaining that their ducks keep going missing. I think I've found the culprit.

Could you send him my way to get that pesky armadillo digging up around my bushes?

We saw one last year jumping out of the neighbors trash can.We have two neighbors that swear we have a panther on our roof when we are gone. One of them has a picture of a panther and baby in his back yard.

Very cool! I posted a pic of a bobcat on my patio brushing against the corner of my lanai awhile back.....nice to see we still have wildlife around even with the developments...

That's fantastic! Our home backs up to a conservation area and we enjoy hawks, turtles, possums, squirrels and raccoons. I spotted a fox but I'm always hoping to see a bobcat.

That's amazing. We have lots of them here in Ontario but it's a very rare thing to actually see one. In 50 years of tromping around through the woods I have only spotted two and that was only for a second.

Maybe the Florida variety is a little more civilized!! LOL
