Many of us have worked hard to make this board fun, friendly and informative. We have a fair amount of people who have different perspectives, and that is ok too. Hi Pacific NW! You will perhaps see me criticized and called names here for saying this, but please visit Sarasota in June or September, and NOT in December or January. The winter in Sarasota is very mild, but the rest of the year can be extremely hot and humid. Being from a non-humid climate, you may or may not 'like' the humidity of Florida. It is only fair for you to experience that before making your decision, so that you do not risk buyer's remorse!
