okay, guess you are right and you can prove , with evidence, that the rich do NOT go to Sarasota just for the winter, and then LEAVE . The snowbirds must be there year-around, i guess. And that high humidity, that must be a mirage, too. Yes indeed, i guess Sarasota IS 'perfect' and 'Paradise' after all!

Some folks can't tolerate any criticism of 'their' chosen place, or their profession [selling real estate]
and so they simply deny the facts. And call names, and would censor.

By the way, my connection to Sarasota goes back to march, 1960....how far does yours go?
Back then, I LOVED Sarasota, which was a sleepy little Southern town with sand in the streets downtown. Sadly, a cynic might suggest that it has been RUINED by rootless transplanted Yankees, and real estate agents seeking to make a quick by by monstrous over-development and destruction of the local ecology.

WHO CARES about "rich snowbirds" and where they go?? That has absolutely nothing to do with this thread. Humidity is not the only reason snowbirds go north in the summer. Hmmm, family perhaps?? And WHO CARES about your "connection to Sarasota". There is absolutely no point in that statement. Get over yourself and quit hijacking threads for your own pleasure! You obviously like to hear yourself think/talk. You keep duplicating your posts in other threads. Get a life!

Hi Cousin ess.ess.ess.esq. FYI People will never take you seriously. You were run off the board at least one time before and now you're back with your negativism of which most is blatant lies.

Wake up and start smelling the coffee, don't blame the nice people of Florida because you & your family are stuck in cold & snowy Cleveland all winter.

I have lived in the Cleveland/Akron area for 40yrs. & you cannot walk around outside in Jan. or Feb. with relative comfort with a coat on. It is Very COLD here! My husband & I cannot wait to live in Florida to avoid the cold winter's here. And yes I know it get's very hot there in the summer, that's ok, we love it. I lived near Ft. Lauderdale for 4 years so I know what it's like.

ImThankful - good luck on your move to Florida, I'm sure your gonna love it!

We can't wait to be there too! We will be in Venice in Nov. for a month looking for a house & a job. (I'm a nurse so hopefully I will be able to find something quickly) We won't be moving until we have a job lined up.... so praying for work quickly. Hoping not to have to be in Ohio this winter.

Nice to read a post with validity! We've got one (1) foot out the door already, but we may still be here a portion, if not all of this winter.

We're flying into Tampa tomorrow after (my) Sue gets off work, to meet with our builder on Saturday & Sunday.

Incidentally, just checking the temperatures (right now, real time), for today and tomorrow:

Toledo is 92* now and forecast for 100* Friday
Sarasota is 87* now and forecast for 88* tomorrow.

It sure will be nice to get out of Ohio for the weekend, so we can cool off in Sarasota...

Yeah, Ha ah ha ha ah! What a spammer! They should move on and make "a connection" to another place, so they can spam there like they know everything.

At least then, maybe someone will listen or care about what useless information they post. Bable on, snowbirds have money! Wow! who woulda thought! News flash * News flash ** It get warm in humid in Sarasota!! I know, I was there once in April in the 1960s. Hello, can we have some more recent news.
