What happened to the Pa Pa Murphy pizza place on Tamiami & Jacaranda in South Venice? It is my favorite Pizza place up north and I was happy to hear that one opened up in Venice this last summer. But they closed down before I got here. Just a note on the door and the phone disconnected. Very disappointed.

On a local Facebook page someone posted a pic of the notice in the window. It looked like the franchise was being revoked from using unapproved ingredients.

Never tried Pa Pa Murphy's pizza - but IMO it couldn't be any worse than Hungry Howie's pizza (bad). In St. Louis Imo's pizza is the great pizza franchise. It's like a "real Italian restaurant" pizza - not like most of this franchise junk. Papa John's and Domino's aren't very good either.

Papa Murphy's is good. They don't deliver and the pizza you buy needs to be cooked. They give instructions.
