Can I get some recommendations on Water Softener / Conditioning in the Sarasota/Venice area?? Where I am from everyone had a unit...seems they are not very common here. Would love to hear some opinions on companies and their products.

Ecowater systems put in an R/O system for me. They also do softeners and anything water related. They were honest, prompt and did quality work. 941-493-2224

I'm very happy with my Culligan water softener. Kinetico also makes a good one from what I hear but is also more expensive.

When I show homes, the most common type I see is Culligan.

You live in Florida? Its all crap water and you need a softener. If you think you have good water here and don't have a system you never had good water to compare it to.

Default Kinetico 4040 or Q850 OD Help

Help!!! Hi all, I'm considering a getting a used Kinetico system for my residence in ontario which has hardness scale of 8.6 gpg. I have tried two of local kinetiko dealers but only recommended a new model Q850 OD which is the latest model of kinetiko for my 2000 sqft home with family of four. I have looked online and found 4040 for 800 CAD which is 10 years old. I thought, I could rebed and make it as the 850 od configuration and install it myself. Is this possible, how much are the cost of kinetico carbon and macrolite. Can i buy this stuff online, is it worth doing this or just buy new one system.

Thank you.
