Help, I have never driven to disney. I have driven as far as Norfolk, Va but that was many years ago. I am bringing my 11 year old and 19 year old my hubby has to work. What is about 1/2 way there and can anyone recommend a good hotel to stay at around the 1/2 way mark. We are leaving on a Sat. at around 4am. Is that a good time to go? Also, on the way back we want to stop at the same hotel (if it's good) and then travel to DC and stay a night there. Any good recomendations for me for hotels? Thanks for any help you can give me.

You can pick up discount coupons for VA, the Carolinas, and GA at the rest stops in those states. They show hotels right off the interstate. We travel from NJ to Venice, Fl and try to get to the Comfort Suites in Lumberton, NC for overnight. That might be a little too south for half way for you.
