My teenagers are wondering if there will be a decent amount of kids in Venice during February break?

I do notice more children/teens in Venice that seem to be visiting their grandparents during spring break. Which is usually March or April when they have a week off from school. You'll usually see the kids with their mom and dad and grandma and grandpa.

It's not the party happy spring break crowd. It's just kids visiting FL with their mom and dad, doing tourist stuff and going to restaurants with their grandparents and enjoying the weather.

OP: If your kids haven't ridden a Segway, take them on a Segway tour.
Mods are tough here on 'commercial' links: search Detroit Segway Venice.
Good operation, reasonable price, easy to learn, do a 'tour' of Venice/old Venice.
Big Fun, imo.
Lil' less than a half day stint, door to door.

might also check with the Y in Palmer Ranch--seems like it has stuff for kids/teens to do--
the schools will be in session in February--you did say "Feb" didn't you?
Sarasota's spring break is in March--2nd week--
so during the week there won't be many kids around during school hours

About kids visiting the Sarasota area during spring break. It (more kids that are visitors) can spread out all through March and April because different states/cities/schools have various spring break dates. Because they come from many different states, their spring break dates can vary.

Venice is not a big spring break town - most of the restaurants/bars in Venice shut down around 10 PM - and I think the little stores in town close around 5 or 6 PM.

Fort Myers would be a better choice for spring break.
