Ranking the Builders (home, construction, cost)

I am curious as to what the members here think of the various builders and how they would rank them:
Neal
Taylor Morrison
Lennar
WCI
DiVosta

I've not built a home so I can't/won't vote but you may want to consider adding Vantage to your list.

And there are a few builders on this site so I'm not sure what kind of response you're gonna get.

You might also be more specific in terms of how you want them ranked. There are many factors to consider and, just because someone else might base their decision on something like availability of design options (or whatever) doesn't mean that will be important to you.

Agreed! Not necessarily listing in order of priority, quality of construction, value, ease of communication and honesty would be highly desired.

I don't know if you will ever get a true picture like this. I had a decent experience with Divosta, but my neighbor calls them crooks and liars. Don't make your decision on one grumpy man's opinion.

People's opinions are just one piece of the puzzle.

We had a negative experience with a builder, but they were on budget and on time. (Closed within a day of original timeline and less than 1% over original budget). And the product quality was good. But it was a very trying experience. So go figure.

Thanks 03 I appreciate the vote.................BTW every home we have built this year has been on time and on budget, we don't have cost over runs , the only extras are client changes.


Oh and watch out , the fun starts across the street next week.

I will say that I toured one of your models one day just for the heck of it - Nice work!

Thanks for the heads up! Just keep 'em quiet at 6:00 in the AM! lol Actually, there one going up across the canal and they LOVE to backup the heavy equipment at 6:00am so the whole world hears those annoying BEEP, BEEP, BEEP's. I'd throw some pineapples at 'em if I had any.
