I was wondering if anyone could recommend a place to purchase large terra cotta pots that don't cost an arm and a leg near Venice.

I was surprised that there was not anyplace to buy discounted lawn/garden stuff in this area

At home we have have chain of stores that has reasonable prices on things like cushions for patio furniture ( I bought new ones in TX for my FL patio table/chairs and brought them in car), inexpensive DIY furniture, and pots---plastic or otherwise--
Much cheaper than HD, Lowe's, Target or WalMart...

Home Goods has gotten pricey--and often doesn't have enough of what you want--
Sometimes you can find items like that at second hand or Goodwill but not very often...

You know if you are crafty and don't mind getting dirty you can make pots of almost any size that work well for outdoor plants... Uses hypertufa

I'll call Tues morn and see what they have. I'm really surprised we don't have something like Garden Ridge around here. I think they would do quite well.

Garden Ridge in my area of TX has gone upscale--trying to morph into a Home Goods type of upscale quality
In fact the stores' name is Garden Ridge At Home...

That's a shame. I know when we lived in Richardson I could almost always find something relatively inexpensive that would work there.

I know this is an old thread but YES ON GARDEN RIDGE! I don't understand why there isn't one around here. I am not looking for terra cotta, more the fiberglass/foam type that look like heavy pottery but that isn't and am no longer finding a good selection at the DIY stores. Maybe by now someone on this thread found a hidden treasure store? The problem with Tuesday Morning and TJM/Marshalls/HomeGoods is that it is very hit and miss on what they get in and when. Even the garden stores that should carry such items don't seem to have much other than basic plastic planters and pottery. This stuff is hard to shop for online because often you need to touch it to determine durability and heft.
