Hi Everyone,

Hope you all have a great weekend, here is my list of fun things I've found that are going on in the Sarasota - Bradenton - Venice area:


FRIDAY

Music on Main -- street party with live music, family friendly activities. Lakewood Ranch's Main Street, 6 - 9 pm.


FRIDAY & SATURDAY

Business Showcase -- over 100 vendors from local businesses, health screenings, giveaways, etc. Free admission, Venice Community Center, 9 am - 3 pm.



FRIDAY - SUNDAY

Gem, Jewelry & Bead Show -- Sarasota Municipal Auditorium, 10 am - 5 pm, $5/adult.



SATURDAY

Sarasota Farmers Market -- downtown at Lemon & Main, 7 am - 1 pm. Please note: market has moved temporarily to First Street due to construction going on in the Lemon & Main area.

Central Sarasota Farmers Market -- corner Proctor & Beneva, 8 am - 1 pm.

Bradenton Farmers Market -- downtown Bradenton on Main Street, 9 am - 2 pm.

Beer, Bands & BBQ -- live music, food & beer. Noon - 7 pm, Music Compound at 1751 Cattlemen Rd in Sarasota. Tickets $10 - $15, $5 students. Bring chairs or blankets, no seating provided.

Phillippi Shores 5K - 1 Mile Fun Run -- meets up at 4747 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota at 7:30 am.

Palma Sola Botanical Park Plants & More Sale -- plant sale, arts & crafts, food & drink vendors. 8 am - 3 pm, 9800 17th Ave NW, Bradenton.



SATURDAY & SUNDAY

Fruitville Grove Pumpkin Fest -- hay & pony rides, pumpkin painting, petting zoo & more. Free admission. 10 am - 4 pm, 7410 Fruitville Rd (east of I75).

Downtown Sarasota Craft Festival -- at Orange & Main, 10 am - 5 pm each day.

Cat Depot Adoption Event -- cats & kittens adoptions just $20/each. 11 am - 5 pm, 2542 17th St, Sarasota.



SUNDAY

Bridge Street Market --great farmers market option on Anna Maria Island, 10 am - 3 pm

Coquina Beach Market -- at the south end of Coquina Beach, 10 am - 4 pm (Not sure if open this week due to Red Tide.)

Siesta Key Farmers Market -- Siesta Village Plaza, 8 am - 2 pm

Siesta Key Drum Circle -- just before sunset at Siesta Key public beach, everyone welcome.

Ski-A-Rees are supposed to start their fall / winter ski shows on Sunday but there are still questions regarding the red tide impacting the shows.

Porchfest Music Fest -- 20+ Arlington Park area neighbors providing a free concert in their front yards or from their porches, food vendors, 2 - 8 pm.

Top Dog Show -- billed as Fashion, Fur & Fun. Dog show, dog fashion show, brunch & other related events. Supports Donte's Den Foundation pet rescue (provides long term care for dogs who's owners can no longer care for them). 11:30 am - 2:30 pm, Van Wezel. Tickets $75/adult, $37.50/child.

No smell, and no respiratory issues when I went 2 days ago, but the water is still tea colored. Plenty of parking spots at Siesta's main beach area.
