We are trying to find a moving company with a good reputation to move us from NJ to Florida. Most of the companies that I checked reviews were very negative. Problems with major delays, increased cost, drivers demanding high tips, etc.

Has anyone had a good experience? Thanks for your help.

Anne

We moved from Central Jersey in 2015. Princeton Movers in Ewing did an amazing job for us. No broker, family owned business and a family friend referral.

I think we had 2 broken dishes (which we packed) but I was able to put our 2nd car inside the truck and transport it with the household items. No damage to the car and they were there in 3 days. They will also split loads if you dont need a full truck.

Thanks. Can I ask how much? We are moving a 3 bedroom house and also have a 2nd car that needs to be moved.

Thank you,
Anne

If I remember correctly, it was $7500 for 3 bedroom house, the car, appliances and outdoor grille/furniture

We finally found a company to move us for just under $9,000 (3 bedroom house) and we'll be paying another company $875 to bring our other car.

We had estimates of up to $14,000.

Still can't wait to be full time Florida resident.

Bookmarked. Thank you. I'm currently in the Philly area but Princeton is close enough. Thanks!

Honestly, I've moved a lot over the past couple years and it seems like every moving company has nothing but negative reviews posted online. I think it's just one of those services where no one says anything unless it's a complaint. Plus I think delays and price increases can be part of the deal, depending on the circumstances. As for tipping, you get to decide on that regardless of what they ask for. I will say that I've had a positive experience with 3 Movers and I'd give them a rec if you need an affordable mover that won't do anything shady.
