Because of the wacky housing market we sold our condo in Estero. We have lived off and on in Bonita Springs since 2011… in condominiums and in one house which we owned. I am shocked having been gone for two years at the difference in the overall feel of the place here. The congestion and the traffic is so much worse than it. Was. Eating out at a reasonable hour during season or even trying to get the beach is nearly impossible. Back in 2011 we used to go to the beach almost 3 times a week. No more. I love Florida or I should say we love Florida but I think maybe we might try to move north a little bit and see if we can get out of some of this mess.

We’ve raised kids, love kids but don’t especially want to end up an apartment complex full of 20 or 30 somethings with lots of kids running around. The people who rent the apartments of course can’t tell us because it’s against the law. So I’m asking here. Can you recommend a nice place in the Venice area to rent. Or any place within a half a mile drive of the beach for that matter. I would prefer not to live in central Florida. We are professionals and would like to be around like-minded people…I’m not talking about a snowbird rental I’m talking about a yearly rental. The other areas I was thinking about our Clearwater and Bradington because I thought maybe the demographics might be a little older. Any help is appreciated. I don’t think we’re gonna turn around and buy another condo or house because the prices have just gone crazy wild…

Maybe we have to go even further north?

2 bedroom rentals in a decent area are approaching $3000/mo.
