You need to be more specific. Don't just post a link.
From the link above:
The Florida Department of Health in Sarasota County has announced that there are elevated levels of red tide detected at area beaches.
Red tide frequently causes people to suffer mild and short-lived respiratory symptoms such as eye, nose, and throat irritation like those associated with the common cold or seasonal sinus allergies. Some individuals with breathing problems, such as asthma, might experience more severe effects.

Why stay inside? If you have respiratory problems with red tide, just stay away from the impacted beaches. There are lots of activities going on this weekend in our area that aren't located near the beaches.

^^^^agree totally ! BUT, IF IT'S WINDY (like it was yesterday and IS TODAY), all bets are OFF btw, we also have very HIGH pollen today - those two combined can present problems to many

Does anyone here remember Glum from the cartoon Gulliver's Travels?

He used to say "we'll never make it...we're all gonna die"

Sound familiar?

Venice beaches were perfect yesterday (Saturday 4-1-23), & they'll be the same today.

Packed with vacationers (the sunburned ones), tourists, snowbirds, & a few locals mixed in (they're the ones with the base tan)

They have not left yet? Red tide gone- snowbirds gone - spring breakers gone heading to the beach. I’m 8 mi out and not even tried for the reasons i listed.

Nobody listened to Shekkie the past few days...

...this past weekend was jam packed at, or near, the beaches of Southern Sarasota County, where there's no signs of Red Tide, & the water & temps were perfect....lots of Spring break families.

Still lots of out of state car tags, but I think the snowbirds are thinning out due to traffic inland.

I say the Monday after Easter is the exodus, but a big time restauranteur told me it was the day after Mothers Day...we'll see who is right in the next week or Two.

Red Tide might be keeing a few inside down near Englewood, but not otherwise in this forum area.
