Divenurse,

I couldn't agree with you more. My wife is in process of getting her Florida RN license. Quite a bit of red tape to go through but she's determined. Everyone that she talks to down there is still claiming huge nursing shortage. Although my opinion is somewhat bias nurses are one of the most under appreciated and under paid professions in the medical field!

I have a little funny story.
My brother is a pediatrician. I would make rounds with him sometimes when I would visit. Everyone loves him, and he is really good with the kids! But, sometimes when he is examining the kids or giving shots, or need their diaper changed - they would cry - naturally. Well one time, this baby needed a shot, and messed his diaper, and began to cry after my brother attended to him. . . so what does he do? He hands him to the nurse, and we walk away. I asked him about that, and he laughed that he was getting away with something. Well not long after (he was 51-52 when he had his first child). I came to his home to visit early one morning . . . well - he was up all night! ! LOL His daughter was colicky ! ! ! When I got there, he came over to me and wispered "now is not a good time . . . now is not a good time." His wife was as cranky as the baby! ! LOL. I laughed so loud - I startled the baby who just finally fell asleep! Now I'm ROFLMAO! He couldn't escape! LOL

Well he had another child a couple years later, and the exact same thing happened! They are now 10 and 7, they are great kids! But, everytime I see them I get them wired up as much as I can.
