Hi there,
I'm a young professional considering moving to Sarasota from Missouri. I welcome any recommendations concerning good rental properties and job opportunities for someone with a Bachelor of Businesses Administration degree. How is the job market in Sarasota? What are the good/safe parts of the city?

Welcome to Sarasota !!
I moved to Bradenton in Sept of 06 and I would never move anywhere else. I am actually in Lakewood Ranch. For a job search ck out Sarasota Tribune for jobs. The housing market has slowed but areas surrounding LWR is still developing commercially. What I see a lot of is banks, grocery stores are everywhere and restaurants. They are also building a super mall off University and I-75 behind a Target.
Google LWR realty and you can get an idea of prices to rent and buy. If you buy wheel & deal , there is a lot to chose from.
There are plenty of jobs here.
